Call Me Grandma Carrie!

Kadee Ryan Wallace arrived on July 31 at 11:02 am.  She weighed 8lbs 13oz and is 22 inches long.  We are so happy she is here!  No one is happier than Brooke, who has had gestational diabetes for several months now and is happily eating normally again.  Spencer loves to read to Kadee.  While Brooke was pregnant he read her Matilda and The Hobbit, and now he's reading her Timeline.  Such cute parents!  We knew Brooke was in labor as we left for church and during the opening prayer my phone started buzzing and it was Spencer.  So I missed the call and got up after the prayer and eventually he got a hold of me and told me that the birth had gone well.  Then he told me she was eating and I could hear her crying and emotion washed over me.  I love her already!

Park City With Cindy 2016

Cindy invited us to her condo at Marriot's Mountainside.  I suggested we go to Rockport like we did 2 years ago and rent SUPs.  We had fun paddling to the end of the lake and back.



It's always fun to try to get two people up on one board..ha!

Cindy wanted to go watch the ski jump practice at Olympic Park.  It was pretty cool.  Nice to spend some time with two of my favorite people.

Girls' Getaway

 Shirlene and I finally got some time to get away together and we had a great time hiking Ensign Peak (almost made the sunset) and Pipeline.  A nice dinner at Cheesecake Factory and good company made for a great weekend!

The Adventures of Heavy and Thump

I wrote a little book this winter and Allen's cousin, Kristen Applebee, illustrated it!  I love it!

Raised Beds

Allen built me some raised garden beds, I love them!  Mostly I love that all my seeds are coming up!

Happy 15th Nate!

Nate is 15!  We waited an extra day to celebrate since Amber and Aaron were coming for a visit.
